Marc Syz has decided to step away from the family’s legacy at Banque Syz, which manages around CHF 24 billion in assets. His reason? A major disagreement over embracing Bitcoin as part of the bank’s future strategy.

Marc Syz, along with his partner Richard Byworth, wanted to bring this Bitcoin-heavy treasury into the bank’s alternative investment division.

He is now planning to take Future Holdings public, with a dual listing on Nasdaq and the SIX Swiss Exchange, aiming to raise around CHF 500 million. The goal is to expand its Bitcoin treasury even further.
