The Solana ($SOL) price just staged an impressive 12% rebound from its recent low, but before bulls get too comfortable, there’s one signal flashing that could quickly derail the recovery.
The bounce was fast and decisive, lifting SOL away from levels that had traders seriously worried. Still, many experienced analysts remain cautious, and that skepticism is weighing on bullish Solana price predictions.
One key indicator in particular suggests this rally may be on shaky ground.

This One Signal Could Change Everything
Long-term holders appear to be stepping back from Solana — and the timing couldn’t be worse.
On-chain HODLer Net Position Change data shows accumulation has slowed sharply following last week’s sell-off. These long-term investors typically act as a stabilizing force during volatile periods, so their reduced conviction is a notable warning sign for the durability of this bounce.

At the same time, the Money Flow Index (MFI) is sliding toward oversold territory, approaching the 20 level. That usually indicates selling pressure is close to exhaustion.
Interestingly, Solana has only reached deeply oversold MFI levels three times in the past two and a half years. In each case, price action eventually stabilized — and in some instances, reversed higher, catching bears off guard.
This leaves SOL at a crossroads: fading long-term support on one side, and potential seller exhaustion on the other.
Solana Price Outlook: Is $70 Back on the Table?
From a technical perspective, Solana remains stuck in a broader descending channel. Price has now slipped below that structure and is hovering in the $85–$90 zone, which is acting as short-term support for the moment.
The bigger picture hasn’t changed much. The trend is still bearish, with lower highs and lower lows firmly intact.

If this support fails, the next major downside level sits near $70, a zone that previously attracted strong demand.
On the upside, initial resistance lies around $100, but the real level to watch is $144. A daily close above $144 would strongly suggest the downtrend is breaking and that a more meaningful bullish shift is underway.
Until then, caution remains warranted.
